Shell progress

During the last 2 weeks i was able to install the basic shell structure. I used a mitre saw from Metabo to cut all the wood. Please have a look at the pictures….

The basis for the shell is divided into 3 parts: Forward cockpit windows and two wall segments.

The roof of the cockpit is put onto the lower part

The overhead panel finds its home in the upper part of the shell. It is held in place by 4 M8 screws.

The shell structure has been closed temporarily with plywood and some cardbox. It is really a big difference now to sit inside the sim....

Progress on Overhead Panel

The last two weeks i was working on the Overhead Panel. Soldering Switches and LEDs ! Now the things are taking shape. Below a Picture…

I don´t know why - but no matter how often i clean my working desk - the things are reorganizing themself into chaos again and again and again. By the way - the brand of the beer in the window is "Edelstoff" from Augustiner Braeu Munich - the best beer in the world. The movie running is "Gran Torino" with Clint Eastwood........

B737-300 Original Throttle Quadrant ordered

Once a while i come along the <http://www.oncealoft.com/> website. So it happened yesterday and to my surprise i saw that Nick has an original 737 TQ to offer. After writing some emails and paypal activities the TQ is ordered and will be shipped to Germany in the next days. I plan to refurbish the TQ as good as possible and install full motorization. I know that there are some guys out there who did this already and i plan to get in contact with the. By the way – the TQ was taken out of N334SW also known as “Shamu One”. See a picture of that beauty below.
